After the success of the award-winning 2017 event The Rise and Fall of the Drawing Circus, the life models return to The Old Market to tell a new story. Follow them into the woods of the imagination for an immersive day of life drawing like you’ve never seen before.
The Sleep of Reason is a theatrical life drawing event with models posing in still tableau throughout the Old Market with the characters of The Drawing Circus taking on a new wild aspect as the Circus draws upon the muse of nature - forest spirits will cavort, unclothed amongst the creatures of the forest to weave a story in still poses accompanied by live music from the Drawchestra.
The Drawing Circus are a Brighton based troupe of models, artists and tutors who put on themed drawing events around the UK. Easels and drawing boards are provided on a first come first served basis, please bring your own drawing materials. This is an untutored event, open to all drawing abilities.
