TOM’s Bar here at The Old Market serves a range of wines, draft beers, spirits and ciders before, during and after every show. We also offer a small selection of snacks and nibbles, including: a range of nuts; chocolate buttons; crisps; ice creams and seasonal specials.

If, however, you’re looking for something more substantial to eat before your show, we have some excellent recommendations. Great menus, fast service, fine dining and cheap eats are all available just a short walk from us:

Just around the corner from us, The Paris House is a charming French-styled bar. Along with a small selection of mains, the charcuterie and cheese platters are ideal for pre-show nibbles. (£)

From brunch to burgers, sandwiches to sticky toffee pudding, The Verano Lounge is a recent addition to Hove’s eateries, offering bar food that’s a cut above. The Little Fish Market

For fine fish, you’ll find nowhere better than The Little Fish Market, directly opposite our main entrance. Chef Duncan Ray, whose prestigious CV includes working alongside Heston at The Fat Duck, updates the exquisite menu on a regular basis. Booking a few weeks in advance is often essential. [Nb. Dining at The Little Fish Market is best not to be rushed, so we recommend booking either for post-show, or perhaps a late lunch.] (£££)
